Where's Rev Al and Jesse?
Warning: this is repulsive, offensive, shocking, brutal and painful. See: http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/newsom.asp
The aftermath of these brutal crimes makes me wonder about a couple of things: 1. As the title implies, where's the outrage from the professional protesters? These were unspeakable, inhuman crimes. 2. Why did I have to hear about this through an email--not one of the national media carried this story, but we were berated, by the exact same media, for over two weeks when a white DJ called a women's basketball team a derogatory name. Is "biased, liberal media" totally redundant? Can you imagine what the coverage would have been had the races been reversed? By the way, I am an Asian American so other than for being a fellow human, I don't have a dog in this fight, so to speak.

Sad. Political Correctness redefined. I would ask the same questions as you. I have concluded that the country is rotting from the inside out. We do not have to fear outside influences. "We have met the enemy and he is us". (Pogo)

No mention on the national news??
Imagine that. Al and Jesse are too busy clinking their glasses together celebrating, that Whitey got "payback".

Actually, what makes me sick is the lack of the million-man-cleanup in New Orleans, the lack of the million-man-lets-get-everyone-out-by-working-together that shoulda been happening in NO right after Katrina, etc.
Seems you only hear from "community leaders" like the 2 revs. when they have something to complain about - never when they have a solution to a problem/issue.

The tag line for Snopes is "Rumor has it." Caveat lector.

Wow, pretty horrific. Clearly a hate crime, how else could it be described?

Quote:
Many younger black activist have said Jackson and Sharpton handled themselves very poorly during the Imus debacle, particularly in how neither brought the same criticism to black rappers. They say both men are tremendously out of step with modern times, have been in power too long, and that it is now time they leave.

DD74,
Unfortunately, in this case, Snopes categorized this information as "true" and listed specific local news articles, which reported on this atrocity and its aftermath, as support for its conclusion.
