Equivalent To EVDO In Europe (Wireless Internet Card)
I'm going to be in Europe (France, Italy) for about 3-4 weeks this summer. I am interested in having mobile Internet access through my laptop. In the US, I carry a Verizon EVDO card for the laptop. Does anyone know if I could rent a similar thing to use in Europe?

Errr, for a non-criminal price. I found one place that would charge $15 per MB.

My Verizon card works in Europe, when I get there I open VZ Access Manager and it links with a Vodaphone network in the UK. I don't pay for my aircard, so I don't know what they charge for this, however it did work well. My Blackberry also works over there, it's Verizon as well. My company does specify that we travel international when they order this stuff.
My card is a PC5740 3G CDMA that hits the CDMA2000 1X 800 and 1900 MHz networks in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and North America. So far it's worked in Europe, Mexico and Hong Kong.

Interesting. Mine is a Sierra Wireless Aircard 595 that is supposed to operate on 800MHz and 1900MHz. I will check w/ Verizon to see if it will roam international, on my account.
