Perhaps you're feeling that now is the time to resume taking me on, Island? Okay. I think you're saying that not all liberals agree with Rosie. Right? It will shock more people than just me if you give a direct answer to this question.

Now here's the part where you've got a fighting chance by virtue of your training. What is "terrorism?" The question you ask, whether war is terrorism, would depend on the definition of "terrorism," would it not? Is "terrorism" defined as creating terror, or fear, for the purpose of influencing the decisions of a group of people?

Shock us all. Give us your concise, clear, non-sarcastic answers to these questions. Try using words in place of emoticons.

Honestly, I think she's as big a fruitcake as the rest of them, but I doubt anyone gives her much credence.

Sure there are outliers on the bell-curve, with their conspiracy theories and hatred of the half of the population that doesn't aggree with their views, but the other, more reasonable 95% of the curve, whether R or D, probably just see Rosie as annoying/entertaining.

Only the weak-minded latch on to false leaders like Michael Moore, Sharpton, Rosie, or Falwell, and they're no cause for worry (IMO) They're good for a laugh.
Know what I think, Colin. I think she does it for the kicks. She just likes to stir up bull*****, and the mainstream American media - not the public (they're much more intelligent), listen to her like they do any other sensationalist - with a huge grain of salt.

She's a comedian. She lives off the attention, and as I have always thought in regard to comedians, has a higher than average awareness, IQ, and other attributes of mental sensibilities than those to who she (they) pander.

I hardly believe she believes the crap she spews. But then I could be wrong.

Bill Mahr (sp?) is the only person of that profession I trust to impart political discord to me.

If I may - terrorism is the fact we give to damns about this subject (I for one can't help myself), when we should be talking about the fact that Lotus can't seem to sell Elises and Exiges. That's a real terror, IMO.

Yeah, you might be right. I'm always amazed that some people are willing to say something, anything, to get them in the spotlight. Destroy their own credibility, act like lunatics, all for some rating points.

I guess I just don't understand or appreciate that whole ability (if it is an ability) to get noticed at any cost. That's what happens when you get rapped on the knuckes by one too many Jesuit priests growing up, I guess. It beats the humility into you....

Your blind hatred's a wonderful thing, eh?

I know some Democrats I would prefer to not be members of that party or members of my legislature. Conversely, I know some Republicans who love this country and would work cooperatively to use government as a tool toward making it a better place to live.

But yeah, I have seen it with my own eyes. There are plenty of Republicans who actively try to ensure that nearly all government offices operate poorly. The Republican Party is the anti-government party. Try denying that. Heck, I've even seen Republicans enter into unwritten commitments to support funding for one program where the quid pro quo is that the Dems abandon another one. The Dems abandoned the program, consistent with their promise, and then the Republicans reneged on their part of the bargain. It doesnn't happen often....you know....fool me once......

Amusingly, I also recall testifying before committees chaired by Dems and others chaired by Reps. There are a lot of "regulars" at these hearings. Folks who know what a committee meeting should look like. About half the times that a committee has been chaired by a Republican, the gallery quietly snickers and rolls their eyes while the Republican chair person fuks up the agenda and then leans toward the ranking Dem for advice on how to 'fix' the hearing. Republicans generally don't believe in those hearings, except to the extent they can stop bills from moving out. It's really obvious abnd a little amusing if you've been to enough of them. One group is trying to do stuff, and the other group is trying to stop those efforts.

I'm a card-carrying liberal, and neither I, nor any liberals that I know, care about her. At all. The only time I hear anything about her is from you NeoCons.
I have never watched a program she was in, well none other than "A League of Their Own". She is abrasive and outrageous by design, so she gets a lot of pub on other programs about some nonsense that has spewed forth from her blow hole.

News flash.

Rosie and Michael Moore are a few of the more vocal spokespersons for liberals. They, along with Sean Penn and other luminous intellects, speak for you, that is on the back of the card you are carrying, check it out.

Barbara Boxer and DiFi are speaking for you and me in the Senate right now. Well for you anyway.

As Rosie speaks for all Liberals, GWB speaks for all Conservatives.

That sound about right?

Every day, I get more and more confused at the number of evil people there are out there to be wary of. List keeps getting longer. Soon there will be no one left to believe in.

But, I thank you all for keeping me informed and alert.

No, Mr Bush is the President, he speaks for all Americans. Rush Limbaugh speaks for conservatives. Rosie O'Donnell, Sean Penn and many others are self appointed. Rush was ordained as the mouthpiece of the right by the left, subtle difference to be certain.

Bush does not speak FOR all Americans, he speaks TO them. He cannot lead, does not govern, he is merely a ruler (albeit a lame duck one) - tragic.

Tobra..

I would not be quite as blunt as drauz, but I would say that the President, no matter who occupies the office, does not speak for all Americans. And that is the way it should be in a free republic. As long as the "loyal opposition" can separate the man from the position, then opposition is not a problem. Personal attacks are.

Who ordained any of these clowns that make political opinion and pawn it off as truth? Has our society devolved into one where others do the thinking for us and tell us what we should believe? No matter the philosophy, far right or far left or even more bizarre, people have to learn to separate the $h!t from the wind.

Great...that means that Republicans are still doing their job...limiting the government as much as possible. Government works best when it's deadlocked.

Hey now, flatbutt, let's not start with fat and fugly Rosie comments.

.. . especially now that our terrorist government has nabbed her for those all too accurate comments.

Yeah, that's right Rosie in Gitmo now...

They figured that she would be impervious to panties on the head . .so they are getting hard core on her.

That's right, tied down, not allowed to shave....
