Does it communicate over g wi-fi protocol or cordless phone frequencies?

So less range than a typical gigahertz cordless, but better sound quality and security?

It can be used in hotspots to make call, and in Europe I can make calls to the US for 0.18/min, as opposed to my cell phone which is $1.99/min. And anywhere where I have the SSID and password, the calls are free.

It will roll over to my cell phone if I'm out of range of an open Wifi spot.

Doesn't someone make a wireless Skype phone? Instead of 18 cents/min, you'd only pay about 2-3 cents/min.

If I used skype, it would $0.18/min plus 2-3 cents per minute. The $0.18 is the cost of the wifi connection. I use T-Mobile with has an agreement with Orange in Europe. I can use their hotspots for $0.18/min or $10/hr.

I will use this with my Vonage softphone with is $15 for 1500 minutes.
