Need a Place to Stay in Cancun

Looking for a very nice all-inclusive place for a long weekend in Cancun. Input from actual visits would be great.

TIA, John

Secrets Capri in the Mayan Riviera (10-40 miles south of Cancun). Worth every penny. Adults-only all-inclusive (no children). One of the smaller properties, but head-and-shoulders above the rest IMO. I stayed there for my honeymoon and want desperately to go back.

Depending the vibe you're looking for, skip Cancun and head an hour or two south and do the Island of Cozumel. VERY much more relaxed and kicked back atmosphere.

Fiesta Americana Cozumel is an all inclusive for under $100 a day, all booze and 3 big meals a day, right on the beach too.

Not sure about "all inclusive" but the Marriott is VERY nice there. The neighbour property Casa Magma is just a step below and also very nice. Have stayed in both and enjoyed many vacations there in the past.

Agree that Cozy is a different feeling, just depends on what you are looking for.

Stayed at the Paradisus Riviera in `03 and was very impressed. It was all-inclusive, including the adult beverages! Friendly staff, reasonable price, and great food as well.

We stayed here:

http://www.villastacul.com.mx/

Not a high-rise resort. Our villa was something like this:

but no grass, all sand. And a 30 ft. stroll from that patio to the shore. On the days we didn't have an early morning agenda, I would literally wake up and head straight to the beach outside our spread. I put away a good amount of Cerveza out there.

OK, maybe not all-inclusive, but that "bungalow on the beach" experience is awesome. It's not quite the same when you have to take an elevator 20 floors down in a robe and then walk through a plush lobby carrying a bag with your towel, sunscreen and all your other sh|t.

It was about a 100 yard walk up the beach to rent a jet ski (and other activities).

Fiesta Americana. Fantastic hotel. And it has a swim-up bar.

We've travelled all over, but need a place for a long weekend that we can fly to direct from Cleveland. So, Cancun is about the best option.
I'd like a nice beachfront all-inclusive place.
Thanks for the input.

We spent spring break at the Crowm Paradise Club Cancun. It was $3,000 for four people, including air from Minneapolis. All inclusive including drinks. It's the kind of place you enjoy if you can look around and say, that (fill in the blank) is not perfect, but I saved a thousand bucks by tolerating (fill in the black). We are that kind of people, the beach was perfect, the food was pretty good, so we had a great time.
