Bummer. The criticism is a little harsh but I have to agree - better to have a good, short-lived series than a mediocre, long-lived (a la "Star Trek") one.
Guess I'm going down and buying seasons 1-3 on DVD today. OTOH, what else does SciFi have that's any good?

I'm kind of glad. The story would get too convoluted and repetitive if it went on any longer.
The only similar show I've seen that went on longer and kept it together was Buffy...but Joss would put hooks in for future episodes 2-3 seasons in advance.

I dont watch much TV but I did like the show even if it has been going down hill.

Firefly was good.
 I loved it. Too bad only for 1 season.
