I'd hate to hear what happens to the coach when he slaps a player on the arse. Unreal is right.
 Unfortunate is more like it. Kids can't do anything these days that's legal/by the book, so when they break the rules, they go full bore.When I see kids riding bikes with helmets on because of a silly city ordinance, I'm sympathetic. I'd like to give them a pile of lumber, some nails, a saw and a hammer, but I'd probably be the one getting nailed.  Total pu$$ification.

Common sense has no place in the new, politically-correct NannyState world. Everything must be "zero-tolerance" otherwise someone will "lawyer up" and end up with a multi-million dollar settlement out of anything and everything.

Avoiding shades of grey is simply a lack of leadership. Taking the easy way out, ignoring the unanticipated concequences. Now he can wash his hands of the aftermath. I've long thought that the zero tolerance policies of drugs, putting cough drops in the same catagory as crack cocaine, does nothing more than teach kids that the adults are way overboard about this drug thing, and are to be ignored. |

Welcome to "zero tolerance" America.
Rather than think about a problem, ban everything. Avoids liability and it avoids having to think too hard. And it satisfies all the knee-jerk responses to issues on the part of the high-strung, hand-wringing ninnies out there.

WHO also claim to want less goverment but just like the TALI-BAN HATE drugs and sex and rock&roll look at the pot laws and med exceptions the states passed but the feds controled by BuSh2 neo-conn's try to bust med-pot centers and growers thats NannyState to the max as are all laws about sex NannyState is not a liberal idea or ideal it is the nose in the bedroom neo-conned pushing that BS |
