"W" Admits Amnesty
"You know, I've heard all the rhetoric -- you've heard it, too -- about how this is amnesty. Amnesty means that you've got to pay a price for having been here illegally, and this bill does that," Bush said, according to the official White House transcript.
Well fellas, Was this a slip of the tongue? I dont think so! "W" has lost it completely. This is a excerpt from a speech this morning. According to Drudge Report. He's going to sign this travesty when he gets it...http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...oilet_claw.gif |

Snow is so adept at walking behind B2 with his plastic bag, ready to scoop up all of B2's droppings. I wish some of my neighbors were so conscientious with their pets. :p
|
You get to legally stay here after you entered illegally, its amnesty no matter how you slice and dice it.
|
Some Presidential economic forum pegged the economic benifit if all illegals at $150 per U.S. citizen per year. That is right now, and that was cooking the books..
This is a realitively young population - low on formal education and lower skilled. $150 bucks in the prime of their working years. That is the supposed benifit to the rest of us.. So now amnesty - followed by future citizenship - then you get sponsored parents, future social security and medicaid costs.. Even the Presidents own numbers dont add up over the long term. What a scam. |

People really do seem to prefer a silver-tongued slime-ball politician, who's focused on image. . . . they like the "party guy" over the guy who say's "c'c'cclean this mess up." So, Jim, youo planning on partying with Hillary this next election? . .you know, bring back the good years? |
I hope he gets punched out by his constituency for this. He supports amnesty 100%. I remember his speech in the early Iraq congressional hearings on an 72 billion dollar addendum for US troop provisions and training for the New Iraqi Police. He stated that the money would secure Iraqs borders from insurgents because it was an Iraq security issue. Open borders posed a threat to stability of a free and independant Iraq.
"W" obviously has a dichotmy of thought processes when it comes to sovereignty. Yep! |

Yep; rs. ... tho' I'm still thinking he may be using this as a political red herring.

Jim, if you don't swallow the hook, the line AND the sinker........if you raise any questions or concerns about the current "administration," you are a terrorist (terrorist, liberal.......these are synonyms). Unfortunately, like you, I have a hard time pretending. Like for example, this theory that Dubya is a genius who has trouble with verbalizing his brilliance.........I have a hard time disconnecting someone's words with their thoughts and beliefs. But that's the sort of thing, obviously, that must be done in order to maintain the belief that Dubya is not an idiot and a loser.
Hopefully you can pretend the King is wearing clothes, as many here do. Otherwise, again, you get some fairly harsh labels and assumptions made about you. |

I'm really pissed about the Senate vote today. Another step towards the sell out of America. |
Okay, seriously... Apparently our govt wants to find a way to tax a huge underground economy. That's what this is about. . .I think.
But then, OTOH, a Federal L.E. friend of mine was telling about a recent huge round-up of illegal im's in a packaging plant in Oregon. So, while there is talk of hope (for illegal im's) they, (the working ones at that) are being rounded up and shipped out. Either way, a lot is going on right now, at the federal level. |
i notice a lot of you get hung-up on words. Words are so easily manipulated (or mangled) by our politicians. Word are just words . .. the word "hat' is not a hat, for example. So rather than reacting to the words of the day, try to see the actions of the efforts. Key areas of our boarders are being tightened/walled. Some coming over even got shot. (the words there were "oops" IIRC). Passport travel is getting stricter. Illegals are getting shipped back. ...an politicians are saying "let all be one appy family."

Words aren't manipulated Glenn, people are manipulated with words. Let's get it straight. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1182878843.jpg |

And, OF COurse people are manipulated with words. That's my point. If you focus on the words. . .or even the manipulation of words, you get caught-up in a bizzaro world of faux reality. Too many are so wrapped up in the spin, that they don't get down to the level of actual actions. Actions are what matter. |

Hmmm...speaking of labeling and making harsh assumptions... Quote:
You're laughably unaware of your own overwhelming hypocrisy. |

just sayin' that someone so concerned with the meaning of words, or lack thereof, may want to chose them wisely. Otherwise, how will anyone know what you mean? Words are the genesis of action Glenn. |
Island,
I agree, we tend to get rapped up in what is said, not accomplished. This is typical of any State of the Union Address. I remember Clinton promissing 9000 new police officers for certain cities and a nanny or a tutor for every home, pablum. This is all BS. What really bothers me is people who we would consider intelligent, believe it. Has any work began on the 400 miles of fence yet? Nicht! "W" has no excuses. He could call for an executive order to start a fence tomarrow and construction would begin and national guard on our borders. He can get oodles of billions of dollars for Iraq and none for a chicken sh-t fence...its a lie... |
