What's up with free websites?
I want to post more than a just couple of pictures and maybe videos (on Pelican and Hoverclubofamerica) and was wondering about so-called free websites.
What's the best ones, what should I look out for? I'm on Windows 98SE, with PC-cillin, Spybot and AdAware so something simple and fool proof may be best. I did a Google seach and clicked "feeling lucky" and found freewebs , it's looks okay but I'm no expert. Do you always have to pay for Geocities? Do you always have to pay for Yahoo sites?

I like Google's Picasa for pictures. http://picasa.google.com/ You can store movies too. You can keep albums private, share with specific people or share with the public.
They have a free program for PCs. I even bought extra storage ( they give you a decent amount of space free, I forgot the amount) and backed up my entire digital photo album (5000+ pics) at full resolution. I also use GMail and Google Documents and Calendar. Works well, IMO. Best, Kurt |

PLEASE upgrade you OS! Win98 of any flavour has not been supported by Microsoft for years now. If the hackers have found any new "backdoors" MS has not made a patch or fix for a long time and your operating system is not secure. W2000 is excellent (W/ME is a POS) and if you can stand the new style interface XP is finally descent. Pls upgrade to one of these to make your computer and your data safe from hackers.
