It may not be far from this already in the UK. Every person we ran into who talked about the recent bombings were 100% against anyone who did not try mix with the local customs and behaviour after they moved there.

Many of them were ready to kick them out a couple of days ago...

Funny that the latest terrorist suspects don't fit the profile we have been told is "standard" (young, little education, poor and impoverished, prone to believe jingoistic teachers, impressionable, etc...)

Not intolerant enough it seems. I heard yesterday that the Dutch are starting to forbid any new construction of Mosques and making it illegal to speak any language but Dutch on the streets. They are on the right track anyway.

Art, don't know about you, but it makes me even more concerned with the goings on in Dearborn-istan. Most people from outside Detroit-metro would simply not believe what's happened to that place. I was there last week and even the RiteAid franchise drug store sign was in Arabic!! I stopped at the Target store to buy batteries and I was the only one there without a robe, a turbin or a berka - I'm surprised they accepted US currency.

Just found this on Google. An AT&T billboard in Dearborn Michigan - hometown of Henry Ford ..... this is what you see throughout the city. Many businesses don't even have the English subtitles.

Is Dearborn the city where the Muslims got the city to allow them to play their God awful 'call to prayer' five to seven times a day ...starting at about 5 AM... over loud speakers? I damn near burst an artery when I heard about that a few years back. Where ever it is, I guess you can hear it all over the city and can't get away from it. If I lived there I'd be in jail by now.

There was an article in a paper a few weeks ago saying that Mohammed is now the second most common name for baby boys in the UK. Looks like they'd have a problem eventually even if they deported all the non-citizens.

And that is EXACTLY the problem with profiling. Over time it will always prove to be wrong. If you profile you will always find what you are looking for but you will miss just as much.

As far as the signage being non-english I guess we should have a talk with the chinese, koreans, hispanics and every other nationality that have set themselves up in concentrated groups in our major cities.

I guess NYC will still be the same w/out ChinaTown, Little Italy etc...
