1.9L turbo Coon Slayer Edition (redneck rice)

So I was driving through my little town of Evansville, WI (population 3000) and was stunned to see this thing parked on the side of the road. It must be a creation made by some rednecks to make a statement about riced out import cars.

Take not of the 2X6 spoiler and the upturned fart can. I think the 1.9L turbo is ready for 24 hours at LeMans.

The temp. spare is just the finishing piece. I wonder how much beer went into the design of that unit?

Bad joke. The use of the racial epithet "coon" doesn't sit well with me (and yes, I think it's intended as a slur in this application, not just an innocent word). The "if you've got the balls, we've got the chain" quote strikes me as a thinly-veiled reference to the dragging murders of several black men in the south. Based on that, I'm surprised someone hasn't torched that thing yet.

Sorry to be "PC" here, but IMHO that sorta' crosses the line. It had the potential to be funny, but the execution of the "joke" and racial undertones ruins it.

Anyone who thinks I'm off-base and misinterpreting it can volunteer to drive that car through Watts or Compton. If you make it to the other side alive then you can take that position. Until then, STFU.

Highly doubt its meant as anything racial. More than likely short for "Raccoon" which seem to be everywhere in WI, and many people here do enjoy hunting and trapping them, I personally do not. And the chain, I'm sure, is to pull that wreck out the mud which from the pictures, looks like it spends alot of its time. "Watts/Compton" Theres parts of Milwaukee I wouldn't even drive through...

Wow!! You got all that from a silly funny car?

Like the above poster already said, Coon is short for Racoon and if you lived anywhere but Long Beach you would know there is a dead one on the side of every road in America.

I saw chain and Balls and thought Ball and Chain I cannot even begin to understadn how there is ANY way that is racially motivated.

Also - in the 4X4 red neck community there is a little contest they do to see who's truck has the "bigger balls" they hook the frames together with a big tow truck chain and to a tug of war. The one ending up going backwards looses. I am 90% sure this is what they mean.

As far as driving that thing through Compton, they would probably be pointed at and laughed at, if anything bad happened it would not be due to the writing on the side but because there were 2 rednecks inside.

I had a problem driving down MLK Blvd. in Hialeah Miami because I was white and driving a Red 911 and it does not have any racial slurs on it.

Why the lack of sensitivity to the Asian American youth whose creations this car so clearly mocks!

Where is the love for all of the hard working truckers of all races who use the same type of roof lights, which this car so clearly ridicules?

Personally, I am most offended by the shoddily constructed wooden wing - a clear affront to all of the world's dedicated carpenters and, in this case, obviously a callous stab at Jesus Christ!

"Coon" is refering to Ra-coon. Racoon hunting is big in this area for some reason. There is even a twisty road behind my house named "Coon Island Rd." As in "Racoon Island Road" not "African American Island Road"

Legion,
I took you on Coon Island Rd. last time you were out at my place.

The balls and chain comment is very common around this part of the country. So is back up hook up and slam it to the floor. They both refer to truck 2 truck pulls.

It's sad when people intentionally "look" for hidden meanings for "P.C's sake"...Lighten up, quit getting butt hurt and move along.

I personally take offense to being told to "Shut The **** Up" because I don't agree with your accusations of racism.

Lighten up Francis! You must be a blast at parties.

See, I'm so wound up I misspelled a word, and had to edit this.

Yeah, I remember a house party I attended a few years ago up in Michigan. Two of the local rednecks [politically incorrect; sorry] had a disagreement as to the relative performance of their pickup trucks.

Party A: '90's 302 cubic inch Ford with a four barrel, headers, and 4.56 gears.

Party B: '70's 460 cubic inch Ford with an average axle and plenty of rust. And no mufflers to speak of.

Well, said parties arranged their vehicles on the street in front of the house, and a fire hose was wrapped around the rear bumpers. Someone said "go", and at 2 AM the engines and tires began to wail.
Yes, on a street in a subdivision.

-The result: I remember thinking "Yeah, there really is no replacement for displacement." That tinkerbell 302 wound up going up the street backwards at about 25 miles per hour, swaying from side to side in a cloud of blue smoke and screaming engine. I think it took out about 10 mailboxes, it was swaying so much.

I imagine the neighbors didn't care for the whole thing-

I can't believe that someone would write the word "slayer" on the side of a car parked in a public area. Last time I checked, the word slayer referred to the killing of dragons. Boy is this jacka$$ going to be in trouble when the NAAD (National Association for the Advancement of Dragons) gets ahold of him! Some people can be so insensitive.
