To accomplish this, ASC has moved the passenger cab of the ’63 Coupe forward to accommodate all the mechanicals within the original wheelbase. The V7twinturbo is founded on an extremely rigid ladder-type tube chassis and a rugged independent rear suspension that accepts a 1,000 horsepower twin turbo Chevrolet LS engine and a paddle-shifted Mendeola transaxle. The rear section of the body is hinged and tilts back to allow complete access to the powertrain.

Cien's 7.5-liter, V12 powerplant is a new concept engine from GM Powertrain named the Northstar XV12. The all-aluminum, dual overhead cam (DOHC) four-valve V12 engine generates 750 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. of torque and features GM's Displacement on Demand technology, which allows the engine to run seamlessly on six cylinders at times to maximize fuel savings.

Here is a mid-engined Corvette, sorta. GM and Jay Leno's garage built the EcoJet concept using many C6 components including the frame rails. Okay, so it has a 650hp bio-diesel turbine engine, but the layout is there.
