We have saved companies literally millions in reduced downtime, labor and parts with this product. Just got notice of the patent number issued.

Yippie!

Congrats, Mike. Patents sure do take a long time to be issued, don't they?

lendaddy 07-17-2007 07:23 AM

Royalties or just fame? :D

azasadny 07-17-2007 07:25 AM

Mike,
Congratulations! You should be proud of yourself, that's quite an accomplishment!

kaisen 07-17-2007 07:27 AM

Congratulations, you live up to your name!

Joeaksa 07-17-2007 07:31 AM

Congrats! Hope you get rich and buy lots of 911's!

Will you still talk to us then? :)

M.D. Holloway 07-17-2007 07:34 AM

No royalties and really not that much fame either. The product isn't that sexy but it does a great job, is novel and has helped out tons of folks.

Funny thing is, this product is one of our smallest in terms of sales volume but is responcible for our greatest sales increases.

This fulfills one of the ten things I want to get accomplished before I die.

Jays72T 07-17-2007 07:48 AM

Nice job, congrats. Did it really take 4 years from filing to being issued a number?

Now you can concentrate your efforts toward a threesome with the Olsen twins. I heard that was also on your list. :p

Cash - That maybe the way I die!

Jays72T - yes, it did take that long and I have been told that it will take even longer for new patents. Not really sure why but it is much more difficult to get patents issued now than say 5 or 10 years ago. Often, the Patent Office will have you re-issue which also costs the applicant. I think it is a money making attempt on their part.

Congratulations! That's great! Must feel great to be part of something that's made a real difference.

What are the other 9?

M.D. Holloway 07-17-2007 09:46 AM

Thats a thread onto it self!

Christien 07-17-2007 09:52 AM

Hey, good idea!

Porsche-O-Phile 07-17-2007 10:28 AM

That must why so many items are stamped "patent pending". They "pend" for years and years.

Awesome, congrats!

:D I remember back in 1970, my older Brother at the dinner table telling us he was going to start a TV station that played nothing but sports. I said if he was gonna do that then I was gonna start one that played nothing but cartoons! Our Sister thought that those ideas were dumb and that radio was way better than TV and that there should be a TV station that played nothing but music concerts...

Needless to say, the Holloway clan has a few great ideas but zero execution when it comes down to the big money makers!
