Porsche-O-Phile and I have decided to meet and have a beer. We only work about 1000 feet from each other and have never met. Techweenie..yes! expressed some interest in joining us, he is local too and then Milt..yes! I think it would be a riot unleashing this amount of spirit in one pub. It will get out of control! SammyG2 is reasonably close. Any other Pelicans want to join? If you do we will decide on a hole near Long Beach Airport today? I will be their first and put a model Porsche on the table in front of me so we can rendezvous. You have to bring your hotrod Porsche/BMW to show off...mandatory!

I've never been inside DaVinci's, but it's in the same building as one of you, right? I mean, they do have a bar, don't they? How expensive can a beer be? Then there's that place that was Charlie Browns for 25 years. Sorry to see CB's go, but unless they tore the bar out, it's a nice one. Upscale is Delius, which I believe just opened in their new location at Cherry and Spring. Lastly, the venerable Curly's on Willow and Cherry. Last of the old time oil field bars.

My aunt worked at Curly's for some 25 years, and I have never been inside. I was surprised to see it was still there last year.

We will do this again when Rick Lee gets out here. I didnt know that Charley Browns went out of biz. Charly Browns had a nice big parking lot where you could park and not get dinged. What is there now? Porsche-O-Phile is near DaVinci's..next door. I would try to get away if I were him. I work at Boeing at the airport. 1973911s do you know where the Merriot hotel is on Lakewood and Spring? There is a pub in the bottom named Corrigans. Last time I was there it had a nice happy Hour. Whatta you guys say..How about Corrigans, tomorrow at 4 PM?

Hey guys, yea it'd be great to finally put some faces to the names - I'm up for Corrigans (never been). Maybe next time we can try DaVinci's - I'll have to do some research on their fare & ambiance. Even though they're right next door, I've never gone there (strikes me as an expensive kind of place, but that might be an incorrect assumption and I have no idea whether they have a bar or not). I'll check, but tomorrow sounds fine at Corrigan's. I doubt I'll make it until around 6:00 or so though (at the earliest).

I have a date tomorrow night, otherwise I'd drive down. Sam and I get along fine in person ;-)

Other nights? I have my son Tu/Thu/Sat so those are tougher, although if it is a food place he'll gladly tag along and just play psp.
