eBay seller graciously answers inquiry

This fellow has a great attitude ...(and problems with mommy)!

What follows is an answer to a question from someone about heads he has for sale. NOTE: He spelled out the words I have * edited.

QUOTE: From the master photographs, I get part # 911.104.302 OR. (the parts are 200 miles away from me as is my mother and I prefer it that way). Next, if there was any damage ANYWHERE, I would have mentioned it in my description. While I have not inspected all of the heads, they are in a box, carefully bubble-wrapped. Do they all match? My father wouldn't have gone to that trouble if they didn't match or weren’t ALL in excellent condition. If a head had a problem in the combustion area, it would have been tossed in the garbage where it belongs. If a head has a busted stud (which one doesn't, I'm sure), extract the broken one and put in a *f###ing* new one. If that's a problem for you, then might I suggest you've got no business tinkering with a Porsche motor. I'm not 'up' on a lot of this stuff. I know about the 4-cam motors, the big modified 911 motors, the Hewland boxes and the ZFs. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I've got to list oh, so much more and it's strenuous given my personal situation. I'm not selling *s##t here. Motors all run, transmissions all have good 'synchros', etc. The *'s##t' went into the garbage years ago. If you have doubts, don't buy from me. But please, read my whole description and trouble me no further with asinine questions. I've got enough trouble dealing with my mother over this stuff. Thank you.

I checked an auction by I guess the same guy (dad used to race and build 4 cam motors, .....).

At least you got a reply to your questions... I gather you are looking at the 1970 cyl heads...

Let him keep them.........

And of course, everyone should just believe this guy, because he's not one of those people that would lie or omit info like the other 50% of the population. Sounds like a real, unreasonable, unrealistic jackazz to me.

Hmmm. Normally if I get a question I perceive to be a "nuisance" question I simply ignore it. Possible Turett's Syndrome patient?

I had a funny email when I was selling a set of Ping white dots on ebay.

I was out of town at the close of the auction. When i got back the next day and check my email there were 10 emails 5 mins apart from the same buyer.

1st asked about the length, which was stated in the auction. The 2nd said I was rude for not promptly responding. The rage must have gotten to him because by the 10 th email he was calling me a loser and horrible business man, and I lost out on the sale. Keep in mind these emails were sent over 30 mins.

He never bid but 30 others did.

I laughed and sold the clubs for $600. Never responded to his emails.

I think he just needs a funny joke to lighten him up. Tell him you are coming by to pick them up, and then don't show.

I think more people need to ask him questions on his auctions, and really get him spun up.

I was just cruising the P-car parts, not my inquiry.

But amusing stuff:

QUOTE:"...if there was any damage ANYWHERE, I would have mentioned it in my description. While I have not inspected all of the heads..."
__________
Interpretation: I would have told you if there was damage, fool... had I inspected them!

QUOTE: : "I'm not 'up' on a lot of this stuff."
___________
Interpretation: I am soooo busy fighting with mummsy over my father's estate I have no time to look at all this stuff I'm selling!

QUOTE: "I've got enough trouble dealing with my mother over this stuff."
____________
Interpretation: My father left me little in his will.
(I wonder why?)

naw, that's a craigslist joke. The ebay joke is to bid and not pay. Or pay with a cashiers check for a couple thousand over the value and request money back.

I just looked, can't find it. I didn't take note of the auction expire date. Perhaps it already ended.

That would have been interesting!

Hummmm ...could he have been one of US????

Push that guy too far and he might send the winning bidder his mother's head!

He does have a flair of panache with "...trouble me no further with asinine questions."
People are funny.

I get a kick out of this. Yes, you are a terrible person for troubling this generous soul with questions about the merchandise for which you should trustingly hand over your hard-earned money. I personally think you should post a link to his auction; I will personally bombard him with stupid questions (are the head studs intact?). Come on, it will be fun.
