New Audi A5 and Merc C-class -Hello From Switzerland

Hi All:
Since I am married to a Swiss girl, I get to visit this lovely country quite often.
Here are some pics of the cars that I have seen this weekend. I will continue to add some pics of any other interesting cars I see.

First the new Audi A5. Very very nice looking car. Looks like a cross between a 3 series coupe and a Mercedes CL. Kind of big but balanced with the front grill treatment. Backseat was tight put comparible with a 3 series.

A5 at the dealer:

And here are some pics of the new C class. Very nice looking car but a little small for some of us. Nice lines, nice dash, etc. Manual transmission and a cloth interior like most entry level Mercs out here.

Now just for the heck of it, some pics of my wife's village. It is around 30 miles outside of Zurich..

Also a little Porsche bike at the dealer. Do not know the cost, but likely not in the budget....

No S5 in the showroom, but maybe when I go into Zurich. They usually have fancier cars there. Fingers crossed...

The A5 does not have the "draw" in my eyes but I am sure the S5 will be nice...it reminds me of the current Accord Coupe from the side.

The new C Class is beautiful....I can't wait until I see the C63 in the flesh.

The A5 is too long in my opinion to have 2 doors. It looks like a 4 door car with 2 4 foot doors instead. If this is what they have in mind to go against the new M3 I'd worry.

I thought the RS4 took care of that already.

RS4 vs 911 Carrera?

The RS4 is a great car no doubt. I really like it compared to to the rather pedestrian S4.

The RS4 is sick...went on some pax laps at the Autox here, more grip then I could ever imagine needing!!! Power on demand, and loads of comfort...that is a great car.

That A5 looks like a Pontiac GTO.

And that new Mercedes C class looks like a copy of the 3 series, esp. in the side shots. Very Chris Bangle inspired.

The C class, although attractive had three main issues for me:
-- Front grille emblem was huge. Therefore ghetto-fabulous.
-- Side view does look like an entry level Bimmer.
-- Just way to small. Have you ever seated 4 adults in a C class or a 3 series!
