I've always heard really good things about Lenovo, but they are typically more expensive.

As a person who had the misfortune of using a red-headed stepchild OS in the past (Windows ME), I cannot stress enough that you stay away from Vista. I can't think of 1 reason FOR it, but plenty against it.
Besides that, the hardware recommendations from the other posters is spot on. 2 gigs minimum RAM, 7200rpm HD, pimped video card. |
