The Master Buffeter Retires

Today I have to say that I am the luckiest man in Buffeting, I have had some magnificient feasts over the years Shrimp, Crab, LAMBIE CHOPS mmmmm...But today I have come to the realization that I could go blind Master Buffeteering, so I am now hanging up the Knife, Fork, Spoon and am putting away the Bib for the last time. I heartily congratulate the new wearer of the crown of Master Buffeteer whoever that might be. I retire as I hit the big 40, as in 40 lbs lost since the first week in April 07. If anybody should find those pounds I lost, U can keep them and wear them in good health. With that I bid adieu.

do you know that 40 is the new 30.. According to these calculations, you still have 35 more years of work ahead of you before you retire. now get to it.

Congrats Tabs!
There is no way I could lose weight living in Vegas! We were only there for 6 days, and I just kept looking forward to the next feast

Way to go!

Great to hear.....As we get older, we can't really do a buffet justice. I used to love them, but just spent 5 days in Reno and never hit a single one. That was a 1st..........

Never had a weight problem, but I have great respect and admiration for those who have had and demonstrated the will to over come it. Congrats Tabs! Now I suppose you are going to go on a high fiber diet and start walking 5 miles a day.

I lost my 40lbs by NOT EATING
I find hunger is not a bad thing
it makes you feel faster thinking and acting too
so you get more done

I simply didnot eat from getting up to sundown
and then eat a normal meal late
no counts or special meals

Do two things -

1. Substitute all the juices and sodas you'd have had in a given day with good old H2O
2. Cut out meals (and snacks) after 7:00 PM.

That alone will result in a substantial benefit to most people.

Food is a deadly killer. Everyone eats food, everyone dies. Stay away from food and you'll be OK.

Congratulations Tabs! Now I'm glad I couldn't make it out last week. I'd feel really sorry to have you watch me eat.

I imagine being high helps you with the mid-day urges.

Well done Tabs.

Not eating at all is the worst thing you can do, your body goes into a defensive mode, slows your metabolism, and stores all the fat it can. If its working for you Nota, good for you but its not the normal way or the correct day to diet or eat on a daily basis.

Eating 5 small healthy meal a day will speed up your metabolism and since your body is getting nourished regularly, it will release its fat stores and you'll shed weight quickly and stay lean.

I have been on a Beer diet and need to get off of it. I think after this long weekend I will.

Good job tabs!! keep up the good work you probably already feel great.

Good for you, tabs!

However, stay focused, as loosing the pounds is not as difficult as keeping from regaining them.
