COLLEGE! I can't wait for Saturdays, Sunday is a good day to wash the cars.

NFL is ok, but I just can't stand all the money. While there's a small percentage of guys in college looking forward to the NFL millions, most are playing for the sake of playing (or free school). It just seems more pure.

The caliber of play is better in the NFL, but college football is just chocked full of tradition. I actually get butterflies in my stomach when Tennessee plays just like I did when I played high school football. Sad, I know...

Growing up in MI, to family who all went to UofM, going to the Big House and tailgating as the sober toddler/rugrat around all of the drunk alumni, having family with entirely Blue and Yellow houses and cars (with Michigan personalized plates "GO BLUE"), suffering through the many, many bowl losses of our now sub-D1AA team...

Or being a Lions fan...

College!

Yes, there were tears during the Bo tributes last year...

How'd Tennessee do last weekend, anyway?

They were beaten by a pretty good Cal team. Cal should have beaten Tennessee last year, too, but I think Neyland stadium spooked them. Nothing like 107000 screaming people dressed in orange...

Since I didn't go to school in the US the college football (basketball) phenomenon was a bit obscure to me....

So I always followed the NFL and never College Football. Plus the funny way the decide which teams go to the Bowls always left me a little skeptical.

Then last year some good friends took us to a Hookies game... Man I loved it, the whole thing, from the tailgating to the game itself. V.Tech got trashed by GA Tech in that game and yet everybody had fun.

Needless to say we bought our VTech jerseys etc... and got home happy.

Yeah they shoulda beat em last year. Except for letting TN run out to a 35 or so point lead? Tn got beat this year but it wasn't a drubbing like the Vols gave Berkley last yr.

NFL. The way the BCS crowns a champion is just a matter of opinion/ a joke.

In basketball, I prefer college far and above the NBA.

BCS is a joke, as are the EOY polls. Hell the Trojan men still think they won "half" the 2004 championship. Ask 'em th show you their half of the trophy. I think the trophy is in Baton Rouge.

I heard rumors that when the current TV contracts run out in 2010, the BCS wants to add a 5th championship bowl game, held after the first 4. Supposedly most BCS conferences support it, with the exception being the PAC10. You won't be missed........

BCS is indeed screwed up! But, I still prefer watching my Auburn Tigers (and then the SEC) play over the NFL.

There is no fan dedication in all of US sports like there is to college football.

My NFL team is the Seahawks, and has been since they joined the league -- I just can't get worked up over the NFL anymore. The NFL is OK to watch, but I get immersed in Michigan football (and, to a lesser degree, 'Bama). Obviously I'm on suicide watch this week.

BCS is an abomination, but that's not about the football, it's a contrivance by university presidents.
