I will give you the typical doctorīs response: Thatīs interesting in theory. Come back in about twenty years when enough statistically significant work has concluded that the assumption lacked validity and Iīll buy you a beer.

However, I very much believe that within the next 50-100 years we will have discovered how much different a world we have created during the last century in terms of the impact on living organisms. Organisms that were singled out in the gene pool race according to environmental circumstanses hundreds of thousands years ago. Our biology is not cut out for all the electro magnetic energy that surround us.

There will be a price to pay and the Environmentalists are on to it, so we better drive our old petrol Porsches as long as we can.

This is a well known phenomenum. In Amateur Radio, you have to be careful in the 23cm and 13cm bands because it can be absorbed by the optic nerve. These are about 1.2-1.3 GHz and 2.3-2.4 GHz

FV is a physical nervous system response that is triggered by flashing lights and can lead to convusions in some people. The typical frequency that triggers this is about 25 flashes per second.

Single-engine aircraft have crashed when their pilots encountered this on final approach. Landing into the setting sun, with the propellor turning about 1500 rpm, aircraft have simply rolled over and spun into the ground. I’d take a guess it is the 1,000-1,200 cpm band as that’s the prop rpm range. Interesting that the engineers said it wasn’t happening until forced to sit in certain locations in line with the props.

You should perhaps do a little reading on neurology. It would probably be easier to study this on a more priomitive system than mammals, sea slug would be a very good choice for a lot of reasons, ridiculously large neurons, real simple animal.

It has been a long time since I took any physiology, but there are channels in the cell membranes that either block or allow the passage of ions, K+, Na+, Ca++. A local anesthetic works by blocking these channels, strips the insulation off the wire so to speak. Impulse is there, but is not able to propagate along the neurons. Interesting thing is that folks with MS or similar neuromuscular diseases tend to do better in cooler weather. I have always felt that had something to do with electrical resistance, because your nervous system is wired with bioelectrical hardware.

I seem to remember a study relating proximity of your home to High Tension electric lines and Neurologic tumors, also read a few things about the cell phone/brain tumor thing. The cell phone deal is largely eliminated by using an earphone, rather than holding it to the side of your melon.
