Everybody I work with seems really smart, but they all say they work with an idiot.

I can't figure out who they're talking about....

Time is too precious to deal with the dumb, I mostly notice the opposite.

Went to a graduation at Villanova this past weekend.

The "smarter" the individual, the bigger the idiot. It was rather amusing to watch these individuals continually fail to stand on the foot-shaped piece of paper on the ground that said, "Stand Here" to get their photo taken.

This was the engineering class...

Working as a professional photographer I have shot zillions of pictures like that. No doubt the word I have said the most in my life is "Next" and I can tell you that from T-ball players to college graduations the vast majority of people are morons. They can't even go to the same place as the person in front of them in a line and stand in front of the background paper. I have marked the spot that I want them to stand on in many different ways and nothing really works. People are idiots.

Only if they are sitting in Santa's lap will they end up in the same general spot.

OK, I will admit I never tried a DI.

The best I could come up with was a good coach. Kids will listen to the coach. If I could get him to tell the kids that miss the spot they will be running laps they somehow all hit the spot.

One finds that when one is dealing with all the facets of the universe one only has so much attention span to give to anyone facet.

Lately I've been dealing with the converse pointed out in the article - "highly skilled individuals tend to underestimate their relative competence, erroneously assuming that tasks which are easy for them are also easy for others."

I work with several people so far up in the IQ stratosphere that it's often a chore to get them to communicate well with the rest of us dullards.
