I liked Carl Karcher.
I don't like carl's jr. I really like Chik-fil-a I don't like Mcdonalds (becasue IMO their food sucks). I'd say Ikea can bite me but they just might. I hate fords, but only because they are POS and not because henry was anti-semetic. I like chevys. I shop at wal-mart occasionally. I like home depot but flip off the illegal day workers when they crowd my truck and get in my way. If anyone feels like calling me a bigot because of that list they can go have sex with themselves. ;) |

I didn't even know about the IKEA thing. I can't keep up, can someone put together a list of all the things and people I'm supposed to hate and why? |
That would be a big list.
I didn't know about Ikea either, and prolly wouldn't care. I just naturally hate that wimpy type of minimalist furniture they sell. Seems too cheap to me. |
Does Carl's Jr. still exist or are they all Hardee's?
Can you still get a Star Burger? |

I never had In-N-Out, even when I lived in SoCal. My parents despised it, so I never got to try it.
We have 5 Chik-Fil-A's in Bloomington/Normal, but four of them are in private cafeterias and the other is at the university... |
In-N-Out is the best! But, some of you religion haters might be disappointed. IIRC, they put Biblical verses on the bottoms of their cups or fries baskets. I can't remember where exactly, but someone pointed it out to me while we were eating there years ago.

Really? From what I recall it didn't seem to affect the taste of the food though. |

I remember when it was a big deal to go to an In and Out, when we would go on family trips as we were entering Calif. in the family station wagon mom and dad would stop at the only In and Out I knew of in San Bernardino (I think) and they would get burgers for the whole family. Anyone know where the first In and Out was located? |

You can still get the Famous Star at CJ's... but if you do not like the large fries and coke, pick up a kids meal intead, as it has the same hamburger as the Famous Star... |

Anyone familiar with the original tommys burger?
Messy and huge chili burgers. I've stood in line at the original tommys stand on beverly and rampart at 3 am for one of these burgers and a bottle of pop out of the old style ice chest type of frig. Then you have to stand up and eat at the little counter shelf thing. One of the few things I'd be willing to go to LA for. |
|
I love Tommys... they have one in Manhattan Beach, CA...

In 1948, the first In-N-Out Burger was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder in Baldwin Park. Harry's idea of a drive-thru hamburger stand where customers could order through a two-way speaker box was quite unique. In that era, it was common to see carhops serving those who wanted to order food from their car. Harry's idea caught on and California's first drive-thru hamburger stand was born.
