How do I quote part of a post ?

My seven year old son would figure this out in ten seconds, but I am too old and too afraid of braking something.

How do I pick out a single sentence, word or phrase to quote ?

Oh, bugger! Wrong forum! Sorry moderators, please move at will.

I am such a moron..

I just hit the quote button, highlight what I don't want to quote and hit the backspace button.

(just hit the "quote" button on the bottom of the post you want to quote, when the quote comes up, just delete the parts you want out of it.)

Hit the quote button and when you see the entire passage, delete what you don't want quoted.

See there! Simple. And it works great in OT where you can take quotes out of context and make anyone seem like a moron. Not that it's too tough with some of them over there.

Seven posts to my rescue in eight minutes! Thanks!

Moderators, please delete the whole thread before any more discover my utter incompetence.

Right.

It is 02.30 am here, half way threw the night shift. I just might be displaying more than usual foreignership at this point at night.

'ttt' ??

And Dave, 'utter' is not a naughty word, is it ?? Did I manage to sound like we were back in the 'slapping cratch' thread again ?

Nothing bad. It was a Beavis play on words. A cow has an 'udder'. Don't fall asleep on your keyboard!

Markus,
you have to see some Beavis and Butthead shows. They're great!
