"USC doesn't suck and they are over rated. Because of the size of their market they get every benefit of the doubt. Sportswriters tend to be based either on the west coast or the northeast, neither region very friendly to the south. Remember, the NCAA Championship is decided by votes, not a contest." benefit of the doubt? Maybe you missed the call when USC played Texas, really bad call there. As for "Coach Miles" who cares what he says, where is he from? |

What about 2003? USC beats a lame Mich team and gets voted 1/2 the nat championship? See if you can go look at their half of the trophy! You might want to check into who Les Miles is. He is the guy that will make you cry this year should the condoms make it that far. |
Mule,
do schools in Oklahoma, Tennessee and Florida have a GPA requierment for football players, how many graduate? It seems when they announce pro players from USC, UCLA, CAL, Stanford, they say "graduated from" and when they announce players from your group, they just say "out of" Why is that? |

Dean, don't start talking about SC's graduation to felony conviction ratio

UCLA, Cal and Stanford, I get your point. But good gawd, you can't be trying to put USC into that category?!? If UCLA, Cal and Stanford had the sad "admissions" requirements of USC, the PAC 10 would be much more competitive. Actually, given the recruiting disadvantage that schools like UCLA, Cal and Stanford have, it's amazing they do as well as they do. UCLA, Cal and Stanford are simply in a different academic and admissions league than USC. USC graduates a lot of players because there is basically no requirements for them to graduate, if they just show up, they graduate. |

"Vince Young whipped USC's ass and you're still crying almost two years later? What about 2003? USC beats a lame Mich team and gets voted 1/2 the nat championship? See if you can go look at their half of the trophy!" Still crying about that, that was four years ago. |

I see the ranking as this... the preseason #1 USC is 10-2 last year, they win the rose bowl by 14 points. They just happened to beat a Michigan team in that game that has many returning starters for 2007. We all know how good Michigan is. How does that constitute being #1? It doesn't. They are overrated, plain and simple. Why isn't Florida at the top of the rankings prior to season play, the last I checked, they won the title last year.

Mule, you are opening a whole new line when you want to talk about football players and police problems, might not be that good for you. |

I don't want to put words into anyones mouth, but maybe he's trying to insinuate that if USC had to play in the SEC they'd become the whipping boy. If so, I completely agree. The PAC 10 just doesn't have a leg to stand on when you talk about strength of schedule.

1) LSU football coach Les Miles has suspended DL Chase Pittman indefinitely following his arrest for assault earlier this week.
2) Detectives with Baton Rouge police arrested an LSU football player on campus Thursday afternoon. Derrick Odom, III is now facing some serious charges. Coach Les Miles has suspended Odom from the team, but he is still gathering information and trying to figure out what happened. 3) Associated Press BATON ROUGE, La. -- Two LSU football players are accused of breaking into a campus apartment, stealing a backpack that held money and credit cards, and using a stolen credit card to buy more than $200 worth of items online. Offensive lineman Zhamal Thomas, 20, of New Iberia, and defensive back Troy Giddens, 19, of Hammond were suspended from the team after their arrests Monday, LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said Thursday. 4) BATON ROUGE, La. -- Former LSU football player Troy Giddens, who was removed from the roster after an arrest several weeks ago, has been arrested again after allegedly punching a current member of the team. Giddens, 19, was arrested early Monday and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count of second degree battery and one count of simple battery after he allegedly hit freshman defensive tackle Joseph Barksdale of Detroit, LSU Police Chief Ricky Adams said. 5) Another LSU Football player arrested last night... OL Kyle Anderson was arrested for 2nd Degree Battery last night stemming from a fight in Tigerland which resulted in the victim being hospitalized. He was booked into the the East baton Rouge Parish Prison this morning, around 3am. That was all on the first page of a google search and all occured this year. 6 arrests and 4 suspensions. In one season! Should I see what's on page two? Still wanna see which school produces more criminals from their footbal teams? Does LSU have any football players left that aren't in jail or suspended? |
I missed the double murders Sammy.

that was 10 years ago...and its one guy

And he only killed 2 people. look guys, ALL division 1 football is crooked. Think I'm lying? Go to practice. See what kind of cars they drive. Kid from the ghetto, Lexus suv. Reggie Bush was getting paid. What a shock. Word in Baton Rouge was that when Kevin Faulk went to the league, he took a pay cut. This got started because "the" stated that only west coast players graduate. Everybody else does whatever? Tennesse has one of the highest graduation rates in div 1 and everybody in div 1 graadutes dumb asses. If you can run & catch, we'll read & write for ya! All that said, "the," the PAC 10 ain't called the ******* Athletic Conference for nothing.
