USC v Nebraska Doesn't rate coverage?

There is NO national coverage of USC Nebraska. Are they scared USC might loose?

onewhippedpuppy 09-15-2007 10:57 AM

It's on ABC. Are they showing something else in TN?

the 09-15-2007 11:48 AM

The big tractor pull preempted the game.

Tobra 09-15-2007 12:45 PM

Go Big Red!

sammyg2 09-15-2007 01:11 PM

Just as people got tired of watching the apollo missions to the moon, people are tired of watching USC win over and over again.
Since it's a forgone conclusion only the more serious of fans usually watch.
How many home game wins in a row is that, 32 now?

It may be that forgone conclusion but they need to win BIG to stay in first place.

Tobra 09-15-2007 01:49 PM

I think they will win, but I don't know about winning big.

Have you ever had 100,000 people screaming at you as loud as they can? That sea of red thing does not go away if they are losing either, it could be 10 below, snowing and Oklahoma kicking their teeth in and you won't see many open seats.

Over 200 consecutive sellouts. Pretty much the best fans in football.

sammyg2 09-15-2007 04:21 PM

LOL, one play from scrimmage so far for the trojans and they already have 50 yards rushing ;)

EDIT: three plays from scrimmage and the trojans have 95 yards rushing and a touchdown.
They do understand this whole tackling thing concept in nebraska, right?

Porsche-O-Phile 09-15-2007 04:47 PM

Are there even 100,000 people in all of Nebraska?

I think they all go back home from California for this game, and it is looking good for them right now.

Tobra 09-15-2007 05:33 PM

10-7 Nebraska, that can't be right? Hope that kid did not hurt his spine, that was an awkward hit after he fumbled

Close game. I'm glad it's being televised...im this annual day of top teams playing Junior College teams... Far as I'm concerned, it is the game of the day. A fair matchup.

Michagan/Notre Dame? Two J.C. teams going at it...The better (low ranked) team won.

gassy 09-15-2007 06:01 PM

I'm watching the Cubs v Cards...Bosox beat the Yanks...Yes.

How bad can Notre Dame really be getting beat by Michigan that bad?

+1! Did you notice how exciting that game got after the pride of Madras, Oregon...Jacoby Ellsbury, entered the game? This rookie, a member of the 2006 Oregon State Beavers college championship team, can play! How 'bout his run from first to home for the score? It's been a long time since I've seen such base running. Scratch that...base FLYING! :D

onewhippedpuppy 09-15-2007 06:45 PM

Getting ugly now. NU is overrated, as always. How long will they put up with mediocre Callahan teams?

On the upside, KSU beat up on some high school team 61-10.:D

That's why there was no interest in this game.

Basically, if SUC is playing a team, there's a 99% chance that team sucks. USC doesn't try schedule itself to play good teams.

Nebraska is the type of team SUC loves to schedule. One that was good 10 years ago (so still has some name recognition), but sucks now.

pwd72s 09-15-2007 07:43 PM

Yeah, I wish to correct myself. It seems that USC was matched with a J.C. quality team as well. Must be...after all, the East Coast sports writers keep telling us that PAC 10 teams can't play the game...
