when I was taking chemistry and was stuck on an answer, I'd go to the back of the book. "Oh, that's easy." and then I'd run a few equations and it was all good.

then the test came. oh my, the professor changed around a few things, added new ones, etc. Didn't do so well.

to learn you have to do your own investigation, figure things out a little, relearn critical thought. every time someone here takes you by the hand and spells things out, we just get a big "nah ahhhhhh". kinda boring after awhile.

I mean when Rick can't even see the || between the two scenarios, never mind if either were true, it gets lame.

That's my point Joel. it doesn't matter if I back up my claims. it's so tiring laying down sound arguments and you just get "nah ahhhh" at the end of the day.

btw, I was wrong. Cheney leaked a false story to the Times, it was printed, THEN HE CONFIRMED THE LEAK ON TV GIVING IT CREDIBILITY, then he said the leak was false on TV.

Sorry for leaving that middle part out.

Yeah, Cheney is the first one I ever heard talk about the aluminum tubes. Get real. That story was around long before Cheney was VP. The media had plenty of time to vett that.

There is no admission and certainly no proof Cheney knew the story was false. Therefore there is no correlation at all to the example you cited inferring that Cheney knowingly leaked a false story so he could later call the media on it. Not even close. There's no "setup" in your example at all...it's not even claimed.
