There is no admission and certainly no proof Cheney knew the story was false. Therefore there is no correlation at all to the example you cited inferring that Cheney knowingly leaked a false story so he could later call the media on it. Not even close. There's no "setup" in your example at all...it's not even claimed.

Look, the point is that when Shaun made this claim I was like "Whoa, Cheney admitted a bait and switch via a leak to the Times and I don't remember it?"
