STORM-WATCH 2007

Insert pic of blown over deck chair

Dude... it rained for about and hour last night... it did come down pretty hard, loud enough to wake me. Sure we live in a desert and there were probably a few flash floods and mudslides but no widespread damage.

On a lighter note the USC football game might get rained on, the horror!

Ed, do you qualify for FEMA? That chair knocked over looks pretty bad.

Our rain gage reads 9/16". I think that means we need a trailer.

Ha! Figures. Local news (Austin) showed multiple cars mired in mud, etc. FLOODS!

It was crazy! Thank goodness I got the 911 in the garage. My M.B. got water spots on it though, dammit!

I was looking west in my front yard last night out unto the ocean that there were huge and dark storm clouds on the horizon. We got a few hours worth of rain and it rained some today. It was great, I hope it last for a few days at least.

I rode my bicycle through this - as there was no chance I was going to turn back.
Now I might need to have my bicycle rebuilt.

As a reference point, this is at the bottom of Barham Blvd and Forest Lawn Drive, across fromWarner Bros. Studio. The slide is about a quarter-mile long, and blocks all four lanes - westbound and eastbound. The area was hit by arson fires in May, so the land was already denuded and prime for movement.
