Sadly, at my age, cars just serve one purpose: To get from "A" to "B". I have lost the interest (and the physical strength) to do much other than the most basic wrenching.

This doesn't mean I do not like looking at a good job someone has done like a restoraion or an engine rebuild; I still do but crawling under and getting all nasty was something I did for 30+ years (heck..nearly 40 years!!) I joined the local PCA and really tried to ge involved. So few did their own work; all consumed with "Concours" or tracking and letting someone else do the work. Not my style.

We need a suggest hobbies for Bob thread! Though some of the suggestions might get pretty crazy! :)

You could always tie flies, or build ships in bottles

Emptying the bottles would be half the fun. As for tying flies....in ARIZONA????

I was thinking about the question I posted (In jest)...."Is there a Montana?" Made me start thinking of some other threads asking "Is there.....?" If I haven't been to Montana, If I haven't seen Montana and all I have is people telling me that Montana exists, then how do I know it actually does exist or whether those people are delusional? And how about those people who tell me that Montana is an imaginary place and does not exist?

You CAN go to Montana, and report back to us. :)

Unfortunately you have to rely on the local collective conscience to define your reality. Not a perfect system. It works well in letting you know things like Montana exists.

But when you start getting outside your sphere is conscious influence and move into another one, things get a bit more vague and the new group's reality takes precedent. Your God is no longer the one true god, hot dogs become knockwurst, John become Jean (I think) etc. It can get pretty confusing if you aren't careful.

You can, however, take comfort in knowing that toast is a worldwide phenomenon. It could very well be the center of the Universe.
