Michigan Gov is an idiot, stop the insanity.
Here we are, dead effing last in the country. We desperately need to attract businesses and talent and her dumb ass and the Dems want an 18% increase in our state income tax. Not just want, she's throwing a b1tch fit and says she'll shut the government down if she doesn't get it. The only down side I see in shutting it down is that the State owns the hard liquor wholesaling business.
I am in complete and total awe at the lack of basic economic sense, "beam me up Scotty." ![]()

Unbeleivable. Trying to understand the Gov's way of thinking makes my brain hurt.

The state is broke and in the hole. Should she hit the streets with a tin cup begging for money?

CUT *****, like a Ginsu effin knife!!!! Whole departments if need be, cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut. You cannot tell me there aren't entire programs, grants, etc.,.. that the people of Michigan would rather see cut than raise their taxes. But the Dems and the Gov will NOT fire people. That's the problem.

Michigan is one of a handful of states that has their own Department Of Environmental Quality (DEQ). Most states just defer to the EPA.
GONE. Next...

Yes crotch22, clearly the entire Great lakes chain will end up in a decimated mess because somebody threatens to remove Michigan's DEQ.

The idiots are advertising here in Arizona, trying to get business owners to move their business to Michigan. Thank God all people here are not dumb as rocks and do not fall for the slick NYC advert on television.

Our Corporate taxes are higher. Our personal taxes are higher. Our property taxes are higher. Our regulations are greater. Our workforce is heavily unionized/more expensive. etc. etc... But... On the upshot we're raising taxes to balance our budget, so we've got that going for us...which is nice.

Make it about 40 degrees warmer year-round and add some mountains and maybe I'll consider it. Maybe.

I'm just waiting for the Illini to jump in with a "you think you've got it bad..." post.
Well, you both make New York look like a finely tooled Swiss Clock. Thanks -- now they'll never change in Albany! JP

C'mon Len, sure, there are some small prices to pay, but are you denying the pride you feel by living in the most progressive state in the nation?
You are cutting edge, leading the way for the rest! |

I was born there and wouldn't return if I could live there for free. Just how they a$$ rape you there to register a car is enough for me. And the state police are borderline gestapo..
Will the last person to leave please turn off the lights. We should allow Canada to annex the G'damn whole f'd up state. Go Big Blue! Lol
