Here we are, dead effing last in the country. We desperately need to attract businesses and talent and her dumb ass and the Dems want an 18% increase in our state income tax. Not just want, she's throwing a b1tch fit and says she'll shut the government down if she doesn't get it. The only down side I see in shutting it down is that the State owns the hard liquor wholesaling business.

I am in complete and total awe at the lack of basic economic sense, "beam me up Scotty."

Michigan is one of a handful of states that has their own Department Of Environmental Quality (DEQ). Most states just defer to the EPA.

Our Corporate taxes are higher.

Our personal taxes are higher.

Our property taxes are higher.

Our regulations are greater.

Our workforce is heavily unionized/more expensive.

etc. etc...

But... On the upshot we're raising taxes to balance our budget, so we've got that going for us...which is nice.
