So, what do you do to support your Porsche habit?

Might be interesting to find out what we do outside of our P-car addiction.

I'll start. Been a banker my entire 25+ year career. Commercial Loan officer for 20 years - quite a grind, I must say. I've been a loan work out specialist the past 5 years (i.e. defaulted commercial loan restructuring, foreclosures, collateral repossession, default suits, fraud investigation, etc.). Stressful, intellectually stimulating and most fun I've had in years. Long hours in this economy a bummer. But, having been laid off once before, I'm happy to be be doing something I enjoy and being in demand.

Last summer, I found myself in the wrong neighborhood on a collateral foreclosure inspection and my battery died on site. So, here I am in a Porsche parked in a very bad neighborhood, wearing a suit looking for a jump. Fortunately, I heard nail guns around the corner and got one of the renovation workers to jump start me. I was lucky.

What's your story? Got to be more exciting than mine!

I'm sitting in a suite at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, been attending a technology summit that Hewlett Packard flew me in for. I design systems that capture all of your tax and credit card transactions, I also help process all of the worlds bounced checks. HP knew that I'm a Porsche guy and they gave me two laps in a 911 at the raceway here today.

I am a painting contractor. Residential, high end stuff. Work alone, it's beautiful.
Just spent 6 weeks painting a vacation home, some clients of mine own, lakefront in Lake Arrowhead. Returned home yesterday and i think in about a week i'll be ready to go back to work.

I quit the habit....but FWIW, I'm retired...get income from a real estate investment, Social Security, and a portfolio mix of equities and bonds.

Not interested in another P-car....figure I had the best one I'll ever have.

My wife says I have reached male nirvana: I am a 'kept man'.

I prefer 'semi retired', having worked in sales & management for 25+ years, I now teach courses for the Service industry, have a bit of fun as a Heritage interpreter and am looking at another project as a home energy auditor, to keep me out of real trouble until my wife retires from her teaching career.
