Hamilton will be champion if:
Depending on the results, the title could even be decided on who has the most fifth places. It is that close.
Hamilton will be champion if: He wins or finishes second He finishes ahead of both his rivals He finishes no lower than second if Alonso wins He finishes no lower than fifth if Alonso is second He finishes no lower than fifth if Raikkonen wins He finishes no lower than seventh if Alonso is third and/or Raikkonen is second He finishes no lower than eighth if Alonso is fourth If Alonso if fifth or lower and Raikkonen finishes third or lower. For Alonso to win, the Spaniard must: Win with Hamilton third or lower Finish second with Hamilton sixth or lower Finish third with Hamilton eighth or lower, and Raikkonen failing to win Finish fourth with Hamilton lower than eighth, and Raikkonen lower than second For Raikkonen to be champion, the Finn must: Win with Hamilton sixth or lower and Alonso lower than second Finish second with Hamilton below seventh and Alonso lower than third. ============ So far this year: Hamilton has four wins, five second places, three thirds, a fourth and a fifth. Alonso has four wins, four second places, three thirds, a fourth, a fifth and two sevenths. And Raikkonen has five wins, two second places, four thirds, a fourth, a fifth and an eighth ================ http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7045144.stm

Alonso takes out Hamilton in the 1st turn.
Kimi wins the race and the WC. Its a Tifosi's wet dream.

With both LH and FA out, KR needs to be second or better to take the championship. This is not at all unreasonable. With both FA and LH out, the only other contender would be FM, and we know what would happen there… So that makes me think neither Malaren driver would deliberately take out the other. They would be sealing their own fate…

I guess I didn’t make it clear that I kind of think that if one driver takes out another, he is essentially taking them both out. It would be very difficult to arrange a crash in such a way as to take out the other driver and not yourself.
You could force a pass, like when Alonso forced his way past Hamilton, but that only gained one spot and didn’t take out the other driver. With the thought that taking the other guy out also means taking yourself out, does it make more sense?

Keep in mind, Alonso does not seem stable (or is he a genius playing mental games with hammy) and there is a good chance that he could take them both out, by accident, trying to make a point with Hammy.
Massa may very well be the faster guy out there but he is well aware that Kimi coming in 1st is in the best interest of the team. He will yield to Kimi if Kimi can gain something from #1 in the race. If FA or LH are in the top 5 after the 1st pitstops Massa will probably go for the win himself. Its his home GP he deserves to take the win if Kimi cannot gain anything.

What really happens is; Hamilton wins, Alonso's car retires, he crys to the appointed stewart that the wrenches did something to his car. The stewart agrees, takes away the win from Hamilton and Kimi wins on points.
It's going to be a ring-a-ding-dandy

Suppose Kimi goes out - for any reason. Then, if LH takes FA out (and himself) the championship would be his. Could be fun.

Should be a great race. I am getting together with around 5 friends to watch. Should be awesome.
Who knows what will happen. Personally, I hope Hamilton or Kimi win. I would really hate Alonso to win. I have grown to dislike him a little and hope he never wins another championship. And people use to make fun of my beloved Senna........ I love team players, and he was always one with his mechanics and team. Alonso should almost be fired for his behavior and comments about his boss and Mclaren. If we were to do that at work, we would definitely be shown the dooor.........

One eye'd Aussie opinion.
All three retire with mechanical failure or driver error - none of the 'stewards' can complain and Hamilton wins WC. The guy has handled his rookie year like such a pro. Oh - and Webber finally wins one. Tim
