6000..

..worth of wasted band width, misinterpreted posts, lousy spelling, ridicule and just generally a blast of fun, eduction, excitement and laughter. Sadly enough, I think I laugh more reading Pelican posts than I do in my 'real' life. That probably say a lot about my life, but even more about this forum. Thanks for putting up with me!

Here is a greeting from my 2/4 daughter Julia, 9 years old. She will acknowledge her father benefitting mentally from Pelican surfing, but at the same time spending perhaps a bit too much time in front of the screen..

6000 posts in just over 2 1/2 years... I think it qualifies as a disorder. But the good kind.

For your outstanding achievement I hereby bequeath you with the honored title:

"Official exalted supreme high poopy head of PPOT"

But seriously,

Markus,
Despite you somewhat limited grasp of out goofy English language you posses a kind warm heart, a brilliant mind, and display a wisdom beyond your age.

In the great cosmic balance of things perhaps your positive input on this board hopefully negates my inane babbling.

Whenever you feel down just look at those beautiful children you have been blessed with! I know raising children is not all sweetness and light but if they are half as sweet as they look you are one lucky guy.

Thanks guys.

I wanted you to know how much I appreciate all of you. It is a brilliant place to be. People must have been very lonely before the internet...or perhaps they actually had a prosperous social life. But no matter how many friends and aquaintancies one have, the enormous input of intellect and feelings served here is impossible to beat in real life.

It really sounds like I need a life. But I do and still I will feel abstinence if unavoidably detained from Pelican for a day or two. Despite sitting a couple of thousand miles away from most of you and not really knowing any of you - have not even met anyone.

BTW, I am drunk.
