and how many times have any of us wanted to take a 12 gauge to a stubburn bolt? Well, I guess not many but I bet there was some Pabst Blue Ribbon to blame here...

You Americans seem to invent the most ridiculous excuses to fire your guns.

Unfortunately, the idiot survived, so that problem was not solved. Darwinism didn't go far enough here.

When I was a kid, we lived across the street from a Tennessee State Trooper. One of the other kids in the neighborhood got a kite stuck in one of his trees and it bugged the guy to death, so one day he got his 12 gauge shotgun out and started blasting away at the kite trying to get it out of the tree. It worked, so I guess a shotgun can be used as a tool on occasion.

Many of the oak trees in southern Oregon have mistletoe growing in them. The mistletoe grows in little concentrated patches. It looks like a green bush transplanted onto a leaf-bare oak tree (in the late fall and winter). To harvest the mistletoe, alot of people use a shotgun...
They aim at the mistletoe cluster and pull the trigger. BANG! Mistletoe everywhere! They pick up the good pieces and sell them at local markets. Crazy as it sounds, it's probably safer than a tall ladder on uneven ground. angela

A friend of mine and his dad went x-mass tree hunting without an ax or a saw. They used a shotgun, it only took three shots.
