Totally bummed over financial loss

This evening, I am doing one of the most dreaded bachelor duties - laundry. I live in a Town Home complex that also shares property with an apartment complex. We each have our own laundry facilities, but I know that some of the people on my side will do laundry on the apt side, so I can only assume that the same is done by the apt side.
My dilema is that I lost the last $20.00 that I'm likely to have till my hospital bill is paid off. I was thinking of posting a note next to where everyone hangs the found ladies underwear but honestly couldn't imagine anyone being so honest as to admit they found it. I knew I shoulda eaten before doing laundry.
Oh well just venting. Thanks for listening.

Don't know where you are going with this, but I was serious with my post. I added a light hearted response, but would rather be able to give the $20.- back. I will put up a note in the laundry room tomorrow, before I leave and give it ten (10) days.

Dave

You know, I was just about to offer to send you $20. (edit, I just saw Slodave's post. Now I get it.)

You need to edit your location to read "Encino Man" in order to make it more authentic.

You are extremely honest!

If no one claims it in ten days, and you keep it, be sure to include it as income on your '07 return. I'd hate to see your efforts spoiled in the end by tax fraud.

It's cash. The IRS would never know! PLenty of other things to include. And yes, I can be too honest on my returns.

Hugh: a big 1099 right back at ya!
