Part of growing up is learning the fine motor skills required to button ones shirt or pants.
The sooner they learn the happier you are as a parent. I don't think they'd be strong enough. Would make a hell of a racket in the washer/dryer. |

Thank you everyone for weighing in. All our zip pants have the internal adjustable waistband, I think we'll keep going with buttons and make the holes a little bigger, same with the sherpa corduroy and denim jackets planned for next year.
