Beat me to it. I know some girls that would benefit from the quick release feature.

I second the velcro, or simply elastic waist.

Magnets seem cool but after the novelty wears off think would be expensive, could detach, and most of all I don't see what advantage they have.

Part of growing up is learning the fine motor skills required to button ones shirt or pants.

The sooner they learn the happier you are as a parent.

I don't think they'd be strong enough.

Would make a hell of a racket in the washer/dryer.

would they stick to the bin in the washer/dryer as well?

Just make sure to pay a royalty to the patent holder.

Yes. That would be a big problem.

Also, the swallowing thing, if they come loose is a real danger. A number of kids have died from this. As previous said, one magnet is not a problem, but more than that can be fatal. No matter how well attached, it would be a PR issue.

Thank you everyone for weighing in. All our zip pants have the internal adjustable waistband, I think we'll keep going with buttons and make the holes a little bigger, same with the sherpa corduroy and denim jackets planned for next year.
