^^^ Are you drinking a Bud light or is that just a random picture?

K. Roman 12-01-2007 04:45 PM

That's what I drink. Plus it's a random pic. So, I actually killed two birds with one stone, not to be confused with 2 girls 1 cup. SmileWavy Don't look that last thing up. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I've seen the 2 girls 1 cup already I'm sad to say.

This thread inspired me to drink, so I went to the cupboard to grab some appleton estates extra, when I came across a nice bottle of sake. Didn't know it was there, can't tell you who makes it (it's all in Japanese) but it's going down really nicely. Turns out there are some advantages to having a Japanese wife... not many, but a few...

The wonderfulness that is Coors Light. Had a Smithwick's Irish Ale Friday night to mix it up a bit. The first couple sips were good, but then it just got too bitter. I guess I'm not polished enough for good beers:-P

On the Bourbon side, I'm thinking about bringing some Buffalo Trace home for Christmas, share some with my dad...

Joe, Joe, Joe...a proper Manhattan is made with Rye, not bourbon. I guess we can let you off the hook though;);)

I'd love a Manhattan right now..hope you're enjoying it!

edit: And by "enjoying it" I really mean "you enjoyed it"

I'm going to blame this thread again for making me drink... finishing off some Gosling's Gold Bermuda Rum, not as good as the Appleton's, but good enough for a tuesday night...

Taken neat, just what's needed after the recent cold spell up here...

There are three things I believe in: great sex, great beer, and great cars; not necessarily in that order.:D

Mark, I couldn't have said it better myself. Mind you, lately the cars and booze are easier to come by...

Thanks Ian, I will give that a try. Can I find it at the LCBO?

The standard Anejo Reserva is very good. The 7 yr even better.

You don't have to be polished to drink "good" beer--just have to try some different styles. I think Smithwicks is particularly uninteresting although didn't think it bitter. Have you tried a Belgium beer? You'll not get the bitterness found in light ales and they can be extremely easy to drink, although usually very alcoholic.

If you're game, try Brother Theleonis. A belgium style beer brewed in the U.S. and damn good intro to belgium beers. The farmhouse beers are outstanding, too--Saison Dupont, Foret..I could go on.

Give it a try. I still drink Coors Light and Miller Lite but love a "good" beer.
