Welding Question

If I wanted to do a roll cage, would I need a GTAW (Tig) machine that could do AC, or do I just need DC?

For a roll cage you'd need dc tig, but if your gonna buy one, buy one with ac, so you can do alum later

Yeah, I'd thought about that. Ideally, I'd like one machine that could do Mig, DC Tig, and AC Tig, but I'm looking at $4,000 for the machine, torches, and tank at that point. If I bought separate Mig and DC Tig machines, I'd be looking at closer to $2,000 for everything.
