Right now, one big check will take everything but the cars I inherited (I can't sell something left to me) including both my SC & the Carrera.

yep, you got a nice car. I'm using ported 5c heads and a UD 288/296 hyd cam with .485/.507 lift in mine- not sure if I can hit those HP #'s but its torquey as hell and even with stock gearing it drives well.- It can break the back end loose if I hit it hard at 35MPH.. I'm going for wheel setup like yours after the interior is put back together..

Thanks mark saw the thread on goats and couldnt resist showing it, i spent 5 years rebuilding it. just finished it last may. As far as daily drivers go,at 8 miles to the gallon it would ad up quick although you would get there quickly!and with a big ole smile.

I have a 69 GTO in my garage right now. My dad ordered it brand new when he got back from Vietnam and it served as our family car intil I turned 16. My dad had a 911 and my mother had a 68 XKE so the GTO was the only car we had that could really seat four. I will never sell it and sitting in it takes me back in time. Trips with the family as a kid, dates with girls and the weekend street races against friends.
It has factory air, factory 8-track and the required 4-speed transmission. It doesnt have power steering or power brakes, so driving it is like working out. I also did a restomod on a 69 GTO conv several years ago that turned out very nice. Wish I still had that car. I sold it and bought my first 911

Great looking 70. I really like how they modded those ralley II wheels. I had some made about ten years ago by a local company. Who did your motor work? sounds like it runs pretty hard.

Sweet... What did you do to suspension to get it lower? How was it as a driver afterwards? Could you have been comfortable with it as a DD? thx

How was Cliff to work with? He's got like a 1 year backlog for orders. You happy with his work? Also - what did you use for a fuel pump? I have 2 qjets I'm thinking about sending down - presently my car has Holley DP 750.
Reason I ask is that I had real problems using a brand new in box Edelbrock 1910 (Purchased from Greg Merrick in Longmont CO. the expensive one) and numerous fuel pumps (didn't want to regulate since I didn't want the extra plumbing and mess) - even at 6PSI output pressure it would puke out of the bowl vents and flood out the engine. I swapped for the DP 750 and no problems. At the moment that Edelbrock is just a really expensive paperweight. Might send it down to him to figure it out.
