Those photos remind me of the end credits for "All In The Family." Great stuff.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Great photos. Really gives you the lay of the land.
One morning I was flying out of La Guardia, and it was foggy. As we got altitude, you could see Manhattan, but the bottoms of the buildings were shrouded in fog. It looked like a vast city floating in the clouds. Amazing.

Just a bit different scenery than I typically see during my average flights

Tim, How close is that to I80, Ohio Turnpike? I got a speeding ticket in NW Ohio several years ago. A beautiful day, mid-morning, very light traffic, cruising eastbound around 75mph, looked up to my left (towards Lake Erie I guess) and saw a small plane pacing me, looked down and saw painted stripes on the side of the road, slowed down a bit but came around a bend and saw the officer standing at a turn-around, signalled me to pull over.

My place (the first picture) is about 20 miles south of the Ohio turnpike. The other shot was taken somewhere over Wisconsin as my buddy and I were following each other to Oshkosh for the annual event. Years ago I got nailed by a "bear in the air" in central Ohio. My brain is now pre-programmed to notice the white painted stripes along main highways.

I hate to bring it up but those photos remind me of 9-1-1 and what those planes were doing as they lined up on the WTC.
