Care to "Name That Software"?

These done just for fun - anyone think they can guess the modeling/rendering software used just from these images?

Looks very POV-ish (especially the sky).

You can always tell computer generated renderings by the sky and the grass.

GIMP is basically an open-source version of Photoshop, I've never seen it used for 3D modeling though. When're you gonna tell us what you ultimately used?

That's not Gimp. It could however easily be done in either Lightwave or Cinema 4d. Both are fairly cheap 3d programs that are both powerful & easy to learn.

Good luck,
Michael

I used Autocad 2003 w/Accurender plug-in renderer.

I've got Rhino, but haven't learned to fly it yet - fantastic for organic shapes,e.g.car bodies, boats, etc. (which ACAD is NOT).

My company used to make these air-horns (actually a competitor brand). Are you in that business?

No. I pieced the whole Peterbuilt together from eyeballing and guestimating dimensions of beaucoup photos of trucks & parts catalogue images that I grabbed off the internet.
