Any opinions on The 94th Aero Squardron in Van Nuys

I've never been there and don't know anything about it. Do you think it would be a good place to gather with some friends for a Bday dinner and drinks?

I've eaten there. It's very cool for the location and theme (I used to fly in & out of VNY all the time so it's cool to be able to sit on the side of the runway and watch the students doing "bounce-and-gos", but it also gets VERY crowded and I thought it was insanely overpriced. Food quality is generally good at the Sunday buffet, but not cheap. For a "once a year" kind of deal, it's great.

Wish we still had one. Was great.

Shoot, we don't even have the same airport either. (Denver)

The 94th Aero was known as the "Hat in the Ring" Squadron in WW1. It was the Squadron that Eddie Rickenbacker used to belong to.

There's a bar called "Eddie Rickenbacker's" in SF, just south of Market and 2nd where I used to work - yup, same Eddie.

Nice bar.

Its a cool place, had my wedding rehearsal dinner there about 25 years ago. I've been their since and its reasonable good food and service. Not usually crowded.

I was wondering the same thing a month ago when I found that place listed on my GPS. Perhaps we should do a Valley Edition Pelican get-together there sometime, to check it out.

Drove by your shop, today, Kevin. Saw a white Carrera and a silver 993? out front.
