went to my aunt
ate like 2 racks of massive lamb chops, and finished off with to much cafeine
came home at 01h50
so now it's like 03h40 and i'm really buzzing and can't get no sleep
now it's time for some Leffe Blond, to undo the cafeine buzz

I hear ya. The wife and I tried to meet up with some friends earlier this evening while we still had a sitter for our daughter. Of course, we got to the bar, searched, and found no-one. So, we headed home, cooked up some venison tenderloins, and since the daughter in now in bed are enjoying some "adult beverages"

Have a happy new year!

Went to the harbor with my wife and a frend, got a picknick table, looked out at the water and boats, drank three bottles of champaing, -sparkling water-it isn't from france, five little bottles of fish eggs, some cheese, crackers, chopped up eggs, chopped up onions, creme cheese, crackers, needed more sparkling water, got home by six thirty and that is it. If there are any spelling problerms here, I drank more than my share, my wife was the driver.
Happy New Year. I will be out driving my Car tomorrow.

Happy New Year and Good Luck to Everyone.

I'm home. We were supposed to go up to Chicago tonight, but the 5 inches of snow has put the kibosh on that.

We're sending it your way, Nick...

Wife gets off work at 11. We'll probably just hang out near there and head home shortly thereafter.

I'm not a big party person and I don't really get the whole "ring in the New Year" thing - it just seems like a kind of silly excuse for a lot of people to just go out & get drunk, or spend absurd amounts of $$$ at overpriced clubs & restaurants. Fun if that's your thing, but I don't really get into it that much. Low key is for me.

At home with a fire in the fireplace, wife and I are watching bad movies and are enjoying the first of two bottles of champagne... not so shabby

Happy New Year to all.

Thanks Chris..... Maybe I'll go out now and warm up the snow blower

I would usually agree with you Jeff, but over the last 13 years I have either been deployed, or tending bar for the New Year. This was going to be my first year to hang out with friends and let go a little. Oh well.

Heading out soon to the St. Regis, our neighborhood 5 star hotel to crash the rich people's party. We slam $4.99 Cooks Brut in the parking garage then wander around with a fancy glass filled with the same. Then, having some friends over for a slumber party. Cheers!

Good to know there are a few people staying in tonight. It's my bro's 22 bday and he isn't doing either. Sucks being invited to parties, but not being able to go.

Happy New Years guys.

I will be staying in tonight. No need to go out and be on the road with all the drunken idiots. Enjoying a nice bottle of French champagne here at home. My wife is cooking up some turkey meatloaf and my daughter has a couple of her friends over. They are watching Disney's "Jump In". I've only seen it about six times so thats why I am here. I hope you all have a very safe and enjoyable New Years night. 2008! May it be a wonderfull new year for all.
Cheers!

Went out for a bit of Mexican,??? in our small city, then came home and watched a movie, The Bourne Ultimatime. Give me a break, literaly. The camera does not stop moving from start to finish.Dont watch this if you want to sleep. The wind is blowing at about 30mph, storm coming in. By the way, did anyone catch Dick Clark on TV tonight? Its really sad, really sad that this guy cant just give it up. I saw him 50 years ago in NY. There needs to be a end to this misery.

Staying in and watching Disney right now... party party party... I tend to stay off the rodes during drunk times like these... besides I can bang my own pans at 12am and I still have 2 and 1/2 hour to go still...

I have plans, really I do, but they only include me and my 5 year old son!! We watched "Air Bud" after we got back from my folks place and now he is sleeping and I am going to have a 25 dollar glass of wine and play my drums downstairs for a while.... Not sure I am going to make it until midnite.....

Cheers

Im at a house party that (obviously) isn't all that hot since i am posting this in the middle of it. Its loud but other than that it isn't all that much fun. I've never been much of a prty guy truth be told. It always struck me as odd that someone would schedule a time to have fun....maybe I'm just uptight (or as that expession proves...too old!)
