A Tikrit Caucuses
Watching the Iowa caucuses gives cause for pause.
Wouldn't it be great to watch a similar "caucus" from Baghdad or Fallujah or almost any city in Pakistan? They could invite the Shia, Sunni, the tribal leaders, Nasserites, the Islamic Revolutionary Party, a bunch of Kurds, a few Turkomen and Assyrians, the Sistani-Badr Organization, the Iraqi Communist Party, the Iraqi Islamic Party, Iraqi National Accord, a few Ayatollahs, and maybe even a couple of reps from the Jewish Defense League just for flavor... and then watch them "caucus" just like in Iowa! |
