my rhino lining is faded. nothing else went wrong, just slightly faded. i have beat that stuff down, and it just takes it. i leaked brake fluid on it, last time i headed to the hazmat disposal site. i just washed it with soapy water, and it is back to regular "faded". i didnt do the rails. i think it looks funny, but it is WAAAAYYY more protection. but you have to wonder what is uglier. black, rough stuff on the rails, or scratches? on my next truck, i will abuse the truck bed again, and then when i cant stand it anymore, i will get it lined again.

i have it on my speaker box... And my dad had it in one pickup and on the pack-rat toolbox.
He left a minnow bucket on the pack-rat and drove several miles including about a half mile through a field and the minnows didn't spill... |

Cant speak for Rhino, but Line-X doesn't fade and look $hitty if you get the clear coat on it.
Plastic is lousy. Mine is damaged and I hardly use it with anything really sharp or craggy, water gets behind it and everything slides all over it. I'd have yanked it already except it DOES offer some protection. Line-X goes in this spring.

Great stuff. Put a strip across the front of the hood to prevent chips.

I suspect that I am jaded...
I grew up in Michigan. My best friend from High School started a Linex franchise in Monroe, Michigan about 8 years ago; He sold it two years ago, and moved to Columbus. From what I learned from him, this stuff is indestructable. The truck will rust out 100 years from now, but junkyard owners are going to swear and swear; the Linex liner will need special disposal methods, and it is likely that the EPA will mandate these before the vehicle title can be closed. That means $ spent if you own the thing.... N |

My friend Matt made enough to cover his expenses. This doesn't indicate anything about the Linex system; Matt is...to spare a few words, a drunk. He put minimum effort into his business, and that comes directly from his mouth.
I suspect a business that can support itself when the owner puts in the minimum effort is probably a business that either needs to be sold, or the owner needs to get his ***** together. Matt is lazy; He sold his Linex business a year ago, and he is now a "house-husband". He married a woman who has a good degree from the University and she has a good-paying job as a result. Matt has a job finding motorcycles in Florida and Texas and shipping them up north. The job is 95% internet, and thats how he spends his time. N |
