TAB S - music is an expression of the soul. For what ever reason, that song has touched some souls. I will have to admit that when I heard it just a few minutes ago which was right after I read your post to my 3:30AM thread, the first thing that jumped out at me was "Man, this sounds like what TABS was writing to me". Even more interesting was the fact that your opion/observation of my plight albeit sweet was misguided and incorrect.
If someone was to tell me that my long hair was repulsive I would consider it absurd and would give it zero emotion because I don't have long hair. If you were to comment on the fact that my blatent killing of helpless animals, beating of small children and stealing from the elderly was abhorent I would think you should lay off the crack pipe because those are not true. How can one get so wrapped up and passionate about something that doesn't touch there soul on some level. So that brings me to my point. Its called projection which I know you know something about because you are very well read and are no stranger to the works of Jung.
Now over the years, I have observed you to post to those threads that you have an opinion on or can provide banter but even your banter can sting - but thats cool. The sting shows insight and passion. This brings us back to the premise that you have some very strong projection going on here. It shows up in your opion of history and other things including this song.
I am not a big fan of Kid Rock (although we do have something in common which I don't think anyone else on the bored does - we both have had repeated sexual relations with the same women) but that song is actually good in terms of lyrics. I don't know if he actually wrote it but it falls in line with his persona and I can see this as an antheim to anyone who can't understand why they put themselves in a situation where they are taken away from the things they miss. God only knows. Its a good song for those who can relate or appreciate. I can do both. Its a shyty song for those who have an ubber-sensitiveity on the pop-o-meter to wit I can only say "please tell me which songs touch your soul or speak to you in a tongue not spoken"?
TABS - I think this song scares you because it brings up things plainful to address or experiences that have gone unrelized. If not, you would have moved on.
Big hugs big fella, big hugs. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/love.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/love.gif
