I dig that song.
I'm not a huge KR fan, but I like quite a few of his songs, and quite a few of his lyrics. I admire his determination- he knew what he wanted and he grinded it out until it happened. He said he was "Going Platinum" -and then he did. If I ever came into some money I too would buy a yacht with a flag saying "Chillin' The Most", then I'd rock that b1tch up and down the coast... |
yep, the song sucks. pop sentimentalism at it worst. "i've been trying to find myself..." blah blah blah... was there a single line that didn't have a cliche?
|
Sounds like my Commodore 64 singing.

Now back on topic........ <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YiEpLI5exrU&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YiEpLI5exrU&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> Why should I be the one to have to say it? If you don't already know the truth I doubt there is anything I can say to make you SEE it. |
um... pop sucks. period. that was part of my point. this is a fine example of a sucky song. it sucks.

YOur question was..."who the fk are U." ....I am Tabs thats who I am...that should answer that part of th equestion.. Why should you care....because I am someone you can look up to... |
Tab's is the repository of all knowledge on the internet. Other than a slightly simplified vision of world history and the common misunderstanding that Hitler and Stalin were aborations of history instead of being the logical culmination of their countries' histories, all that is good and true lies with Tabby. The laws of grammar, punctuation (and thankfully) spelling do not apply to the great Tabs'. His words are perfect, meaning nothing more or less than he intends, and your misunderstanding of them reflect the reader's misperception of them; not Tab's failure to communicate. On matter of taste, he is infallible, except for the time he offered me a painting for a mere $1,500 when it was worth tens of thousands. But he made up for that oversight by pulling the painting before I had time to figure out what I had.
Tabby, when's the art store going to open again? MRM needs some watercolors. |

Now the question is which one is the real me...If logic would prevail one would surmise that an "*********" couldn't possibly make informed or knowledgable comments, but an "informative guy" could put on the guise of an "*******." In other words you can take a country boy out of the country, but U can't take the country outa the boy. |

Not a bad song if you can get past the self absorbed, crybaby rockstar lyrics.

Hitler did represent the darker side of the European psych. however his coming to power was still a fluke of the perfect storm. In that sense Hitler wasn't an aberration of history. Stalin..was a far more venal darkster..and was much more an aberration of history than Hitler. Hitler in a sense over threw a political system and molded it to his own way of thinking. Hitler also depended up his followers to do his bidding as a charismatic leader. Stalin ruthlessly worked within the already established Soviet system to take control and depended upon no one to maintain that control. If Stalin had a different personality, the Soviet Union would have been a different place. Stalin had no regard for anyone or anything and was all about self aggrandizement, Hitler on the other hand had a vision for the German people and nation. Hitler was about something greater than himself. Hitler saw himself as being the instrument of that vision. Stalin had no vision of a greater good. For Stalin it was all about maintaining power. Even Mao had the greater good of China in mind. The Art store is going to be open soon. |
