Anybody get an Eyeclops for Christmas?

My daughter got some really cool toys for Christmas, but this thing is truly amazing. It's a hand held video camera/microscope that plugs into the TV. It magnifies stuff 200X. I can't believe that this technology can be bought for $40. I've got a feeling that I'll be playing with it long after my daughter's gotten tired of it.

No, but every time I go into Fry's, I look at the microscopes you can attach to your PC and have to fight the urge to buy one!

ummm, I think the age group is a little older here than to get one of those for X-mas

However, my nephew got something similar but it looks more a microscope than an eye!

hmmm, "I've got a feeling that I'll be playing with it long ..."
I could think of a few things to magnify with that ...

I bought one similar for my neice several years ago. Yep, I kept thinking about buying one for myself.

... not an Eyeclops owner but I do have the Intel Play QX3. Although the primary target audience was for children, my wife purchased one for me several years back. Her decision, at least in part, was based on my exhibited excitement after seeing one of these devices shortly after these products were released. I do not think that Intel produced these (the QX3) anymore. The ability to both magnify to 200X and save the pictures to one's computer proved to be considerably more beneficial than I imagined. I have used this 'childs' device in the work environment to E-mail pictures of concerns or problems to vendors.

I'll bet that thing would be stuck in a lot of remote places if it didn't have the big thing on the end!
