I never said Sammy's reply was unacceptable. I just think that's it's stupid to get so caught up in a pro-football player. Apparently Sammy agrees with me, we disagree however on how effectively he can use sarcasm over a message board.

And for the record I didn't see anything in your post that was unacceptable, JCF. Not sure what the fuss is about.

I remember one of TO's first games in San Fran. If I'm not mistaken Rice was hurt. He caught a TD and got wacked, held onto the ball. The TD won the game I believe. He was on the sideline crying then. I thought, 'boy there's a hard nosed player that cares'. Unfortunately his ego obviosly took over when he 'found out' he was a special player. To bad.
(And I still think Toms a weiny. Even Simms called him out when he layed down after a push to the ground. Maybe is was crying also tehe)

If you have ever heard Phil Simms, or Troy Aikman, or Bill Cower...well, you pick a professional commentator (with any real cred) discuss Brady, the words pussy, crybaby weiny or anything like that are the absolute opposite of what they say.
Simms was laughing because Brady was trying to draw a penalty and it wasn't even close.
Were you watching when they were talking about him putting a block on a lineman ?

That TO catch was against Green Bay for the Wildcard (?)
Amazing catch.
He was CREAMED by two guys in the end zone and held on.
He has skills, no question. But he is still way too self centered.

If it's any consolation I think the Steelers of the 70's are one of the Greatest Teams of them all (top 3 too hard to pick so call them even)
My Mom is a big Steelers fan (grew up in near Grove City)
I like it when they win, just not against the Pats.
I remember too well those sundays not that long ago when they were losing games 52-0.

Actually Mariucci was talking about this exact play on NFL Network. They were asking him whether TO was genuine or not when he cried. Mariucci said TO cares more about the game than most players and he wears his emotions on his sleeve. He gets hyped up when it is going well and tends to speak too much and he crashes down when he loses.

Anyhow, either way, I think TO did a great job this season both on the field and off. I'll take him back next year with open arms, lol.

I dissed your idol TO for all the world to see, sure it must have stung but did I say anything that wasn't true?

I root for the patriots and have for quite a while. I think brady is very under-rated and I said that months ago. I don't root for the cowboys because of TO. Get over it.
If you're having that much trouble dealing with the fact that the cowboys are sitting at home instead of getting ready for the important games, write yourself a prescription or something.

Yes I think TO matured some this year. And his game in the Eagles Super Bowl was one for the ages, abit a self-serving one.

1) TO is paid to play the game.
2) He does not distract from the game. He probably brings in more viewers and ticket holders than did Michael Erwin and Deon Sanders combined when they played for the C-boys. TO, conversely, enhances the game.
3) God-given talents: Have you seen how he works out? The man is in fantastic physical shape. Has he been popped for steroid use, drug use, alcohol abuse, etc? So what is this assertion that he takes for granted his God-given talents?
4) Yes, role models are good. But in all honesty, who said TO is required as a top-tier football player to be a role model?
5) TO, a loser? LOL! I don't have enough time or energy to humor that ridiculous accusation.

I have to say the Steelers would win that one. Great defense trumps great offense, and that was one GREAT Defense. No soft spots.
Offense was almost as good as the Pats. Brady over Bradshaw though. Swann and Moss close to even.

TO is not a loser by any stretch. But he has created distractions on all the teams he has played for.
That may sell tickets but it doesn't seem to win championships.
I don't think he is as bad as he is often portrayed and I don't think the celebrations are over the top (not ALL of them - LOVED the Sharpie) and he wants to win and works hard no question.
But if you badmouth your own QB - IN PUBLIC (on all the teams he has played for) how does that help the team. Evidently doesn't.
I say again I kind of like the guy. He BLOCKS !
I hated Moss before Belichick and Kraft settled him down.
Solution - trade him to the Pats.
