What kind of fastener is this

We moved and I lost about five of these for my daughters bunk bed, I searched Mcmaster-carr and could not find anything like it. Any ideas?

Check in the "specialty fasteners" drawers@ Lowe's or Home Depot. Had to buy some like that for an entertainment center project.

It's called a "cross dowel", FWIW.

edit - try a search for "Hafele" too.

Best,

I just had my wife look at the picture; she is an expert in all houshold fasteners. The technical name is "one of those threaded thingies that goes in a slot with a hole at the end".

Yup, I've always heard those were called barrel nuts. Shouldn't be all that hard to find if you know what to ask for.

Used a bunch in furniture that you have to assemble. I must have half a dozen on my tool bench that found thier way out - not sure the origins. I hope they came from something I sold at a yard sale!

If you need some, let me know via PM.
